Short description of the legal framework based on Study 0:
The process of design contests for architecture, landscape architecture or urbanism in the Czech republic is defined in the chamber regulations „Soutěžní řád“ (SŘ ČKA) and the public procurement law „Zákon o zadávání veřejných zakázek“ (ZZVZ). The chamber approves competitions, which comply with the SŘ ČKA. The process should provide a transparent, non-discriminating and fair competition for the participiants including appropriate prize money and best results for the clients and stakeholders. It is recommended for Authorised architects only to participate in competitions approved by the chamber.
The SŘ ČKA allows non-anonymous proceedings like competition dialogues according to the ZZVZ.
