Short description of the legal framework based on Study 0:
Architectural Design Competitions in Hungary are regulated by the Government Decree 310/2015 (X.28.) on design tender procedures. The decree has the scope to apply to the Act CXLIII of 2015 on public procurement (KBT) carried out by entities classified as contracting authorities according to the KBT, covering design competitions within the meaning of Section 3 (40). The Act CXLIII on Public Procurement is the Hungarian legislative instrument that integrates the prescriptions of the European Directive 2014/24/EU.

Definition of Architectural Competition:
Architectural Design Competition (ADC) is a term used interchangeably for urban planning competitions and building design or landscape design competitions. Architectural competitions deal with design, implementation and design tasks, creating competition between different approaches to finding the most suitable design concept for the given task.
